Concerts, lectures, workshops and courses that tie in with the exhibitions are also organised regularly. The tourist information office can also be found inside the museum.

The location itself also has a long history of its own. The building at Voorstraat 97, just like Voorstraat 99, was erected in the 16th Century. Between around 1650 and 1807, the upper floor was used as a Roman Catholic church. This church still exists in a well-preserved state on the first floor of the museum. The church was led by Jesuits until their exile from the Netherlands in the year 1730.

In 1807, the board of the Roman Catholic Church purchased the building at Voorstraat 45. They sold the old church to Goswinus Cremer, pastor of the Reformed congregation, who then resold it several months later. The building was adapted a number of times in the 19th and 20th Centuries. Its façade plastering dates from the 19th Century. After a major restoration in 1992, it became home to Vianen Municipal Museum.
